Darkwell is set in its own universe, some of the countries in the real world don't exist here. Darkwell is a slightly larger town located somewhere in between where Canada and the United States would be if the where in this universe. In Darkwell a ancient evil has risen and is slowly taking over the country (North Openshaw) these are vampires we're talking about.

Whiteness are the most "pure" of the humans, they have a closer connection to their lord and are chosen to lead the humans through difficult times, they rarely go on hunts, the usually just hunt Head Masters and Master if they're proven to be too difficult for the Soldiers.

Solider Soldiers hunt vampires in groups of seven, sometimes a Soldier is chosen to be a Whiteness when the Whiteness retires, is turned or dies.

Civilians are fed on from the Vampires, these people have chosen to not be a Soldier.

Head Masters are the lead Vampire, the commander of them all, he has the power to create other stronger Vampires with less weaknesses, they usually are always outsmarting the Soldiers and the Whiteness.

Masters are "children" of the Head Master, usually chosen to take over when the Head Master is killed.
|
Vampires have to power to make other vampires, they don't have a lot of strengths but they are intelligent to certain degrees.
